sublime #39
Still trying to process the wealth of things I have seen/experienced over the past month. I have photographed MANY gardens and flowers and I’m not bored of it in the slightest. May sublime moments and bts/phone captures:

bearded irises appear to glow after sundown
turtle doves make the perfect soundtrack to evening garden photography
hot air balloons are magical and mystical and weird
my neighbours are having their garden landscaped and the skip outside is full of rubbly treats. every day a new story
36 hours is both an incredibly long time and also the shortest
lavender in tea is brilliant

I had a few spare hours in an unfamiliar city and found myself in Reading Museum, which also happens to be the town hall and registry office*. They have a life-size (70 metres) reproduction of the Bayeaux Tapestry that was embroidered by an ambitious group of women in 1885. I loved the colours! There was also a gallery full of taxidermy/plant specimens, local rock studies and the best bit? A room full of Huntley & Palmers biscuit tins. Hard recommend it if you' find yourself in that neck of the woods.
