some things:
a week in Cornwall that I treated like a residency: made photograms on windowsills from things found on walks, studied seaweed shapes as they’re left on the sand, got lost in the world of beautiful weathering and revisited a garden that honours the gardens of Kyoto despite being nearly 10,000km away
a carpet of gold, russet, plum pudding and caramel
we had a Wednesday that was all gloom and smudged windows, the air thick with mizzle and fog. I shot a city centre elopement in the middle of it and somehow LOVED the misty, glowing warmth of it all
print tests arrived and I’m really happy with them, just need to find a way of showing how lovely they are before I can make them available to buy
I revisited my October flower paintings from 2020 because I’m still not over the technique (so satisfying!) and it’s likely the 2024 versions will be making their way to my print shop in time for holiday season
walking in the rain
boxes of apples have caught my eye on recent walks, balanced on gateposts and walls with handwritten signs ‘cookers-please take’. I filled a bucket with some I found that even the birds rejected and spent some time documenting the mush
