the perfect pudding
#sublime 32
Sublime moments from a hazy few weeks; steely blues and custard yellows (literally.) I tied up the last few jobs of 2025 with a good old stomp around Yorkshire Sculpture Park to capture new acquisitions and shifting artworks, plus any other delightful winter scenes that presented themselves to me. I used the last frame of film on the huge heronry that perches over the lake.

We took a trip across to the East Riding for a Steels Cornerhouse fix. It’s a fish and chip restaurant with the most comforting vibe and a proper pudding menu (treacle sponge, arctic roll, jelly and ice cream etc.)
Below: soft light, one last look at the Christmas tree, aforementioned treacle sponge, pancakes, Midori will always be my notebook of choice, I might have found yet another way to explore my light/texture/object fascination, the sugar dusting of cookies, winter scenes, ‘tis the season for meals of one colour.

A spectacular sunrise (we’ve been treated to a lot, even if the day turns out to be smudged and grey) and last but not least this happy character:

You are magical and it permeates your photos! It’s a pleasure to sit with your work, here.
I could look at your photography for hours! Also, how good is the David Mellor shop? I picked up a full cutlery set from the seconds section for a fraction of the price, but their "imperfections" are barely noticeable.
